Scottish Household Survey Key Findings

27 8% of adults in Scotland report to having experienced discrimination in the past twelve months. Discrimination occurs when a person is treated less favourably because of a protected characteristic.* The graph to the right shows some of the most common reasons for discrimination in 2019, and all of them were experienced by at least 1 in every 10 adult that had been discriminated against.
