39 The proportion of households in Scotland with any kind of savings had increased from 61% in 2009/2010 to 69% in 2019. The proportion of households with any savings that had more than £1,000 saved increased from 46% in 2009/2010 to 56% in 2019. In this time period, the proportion of households that had no savings decreased from 27% to 22%. This graph excludes households that refused to answer or that did not know if they had savings.
